Troop 98 Huntsville, TX

Our troop is one of the oldest troops in Huntsville, TX. Our Scouts are very active in the outdoors with Camping, Canoeing, Hiking and Backpacking to name some of the things we do. We are involved with the Community as the Color Guard for the Lions Club Christmas Parade. We have in the past participated in the Relay for Life, the Walker County Fair and various organizations within the community. The boys have done service projects such as building handicap ramps for wheelchair bound citizens in the county, providing a food and item drive for the Rita B. Huff Animal Shelter and building scratching posts and houses for the cats at the shelter and cleaning, sanding and painting the wooden doors for our Charter Organization, First United Methodist Church.

The troop has done summer camp in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Our High Adventure crews have gone to Laguna Station and Philadelphia, PA with our base camp at Treasure Island Scout Camp.

Our troop meetings are held at Josey Lodge on Tuesday evenings from 7:00PM until 8:30pm. The Scoutmaster is Stephen Farlow who may be contacted at or 936-355-1855.
