Troop 98 Huntsville, TX

Troop 98 is one of the oldest troops in Huntsville, TX. Our Scouts are very active in the outdoors with Camping, Canoeing, Hiking and Backpacking. We are involved with the community as the Color Guard for the Lions Club Christmas Parade. We have in the past participated in the Relay for Life, Walker County Fair, and various organizations within the community. The boys have done service projects such as building handicap ramps for wheelchair bound citizens in the county, provided a food drive for the Rita B. Huff Animal Shelter, handed out school supplies, sanding and painting the wooden doors for our Charter Organization, First United Methodist Church.

The troop has done summer camp in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and New Mexico. Our High Adventure crews have gone to Laguna Station and Philadelphia, PA with our base camp at Treasure Island Scout Camp.

Our troop meetings are held at the First United Methodist Church on Tuesday evenings from 7:30PM until 8:30pm. The Scoutmaster is David Gray who may be contacted at gray_rex@yahoo.com or 936-662-1842.
